Montessori Academy's vision is that each student
will become an independent, confident, motivated learner, and a responsible community member as a result of the dynamic partnership between
students, parents, and teachers.
This partnership within the exceptional Montessori environment, while developing these characteristics, enables each student to become a life-long learner.
Montessori Academy is a not-for-profit, school that practices a non-discriminatory policy and accepts qualified students without regard to race, color and national origin. Montessori Academy endeavors to bring together students who have the aptitude to flourish in our programs.
Admission procedures are meant to help students, parents and faculty to work together in determining if Montessori Academy is an appropriate school for them. We use the application, student interview, parent meetings, teacher recommendations, transcripts and testing results to determine whether a student is offered admission to the school.
The Toddler School candidate must be 18 months by date of enrollment. The child is not expected to be fully potty-trained and teachers will assist with this endeavor.
The Kindergarten candidate in the Primary School must be five years of age by September 1st to enter Kindergarten. Teacher recommendation for Kindergarten readiness is taken into consideration.
The Elementary School candidate (age 6-15), will be interviewed and then invited to spend two days in the classroom before being accepted as a student.
Student applications are accepted year round, with a non-refundable application fee of $100. Upon acceptance, a non-refundable registration fee of $300 reserves your child's place in the school. Tuition can be paid annually or prorated over 9 or 10 months. There is a 2% discount for tuition paid in full by August 1st. There are also sibling discounts.
