November, 2012

Dear Room 3 Parents,

We have officially entered the “holiday season”.  I seems as though the children were just discussing what costume they would be wearing for Halloween festivities and now we’re planning a Thanksgiving feast.  This year is passing so quickly!
In the classroom we’re learning about why the pilgrims came to America and why we traditionally have Thanksgiving.  The geography shelf has been changed to the study of North America which will continue until the month of December begins.  In science, we are now studying about our Solar System.  The practical life area is, as usual, ever-changing and the children are making steady progress in math and language.

We just want to say…WOW!  Ask and ye shall receive!  We sent out a request for soap for grating and what a response we got!  You are an exceptional group of parents.  In addition to that you’ll be happy to learn that thanks to your donations…both Room 3 teachers will be attending the Montessori convention in March.  Thank you so much.  We’re very excited!

Remember to label all outer wear.  Some of the children are bringing jackets to school that look similar.  Thanks for all you do.
