our PASSION

Montessori Academy's vision is that each student
will become an independent, confident, motivated learner, and a responsible community member as a result of the dynamic partnership between
students, parents, and teachers.
This partnership within the exceptional Montessori environment, while developing these characteristics, enables each student to become a life-long learner.

Dear Room 3 Parents,

Room 3 is hopping!  No, literally, it’s HOPPING.  The children are in constant motion --and we haven’t even had too many sweets!  We’re just in “high energy” mode.  Perhaps it’s because we’ve had much more indoor time than outside time recently.  We need the weather to warm and stay that way.

Despite the “hopping”, the children are still managing to be productive.  We have changed the geography shelf from “all about the Polar Regions” to the study of the continent of Asia.  They’ve heard “Asia will amaze ya” on more than one occasion.   We’ve also turned our science focus to reptiles and amphibians.  Oddly, the girls like it as much as the boys.   In addition, new work has been introduced in the Practical Life area.  This is always exciting and fun!

We have begun decorating the bags for collecting valentine cards.  This will take place on Thursday.  Remember to send you child’s valentine cards to school before Thursday.  We appreciate those of you who have graciously volunteered to bring an item for our special Valentine’s Day snack.  Those items may be brought earlier (but no later than) Thursday morning if that is more convenient for you.  We do have a place to keep things refrigerated.  We are still in need of punch (2 gallons).  Anyone interested feel free to email us.

The entire class is excited about the big Thursday event, but I, Mrs. Pound, am much more excited about the upcoming weekend.  I will be leaving this Friday for Gatlinburg, Tennessee, where my oldest, Kara, will be getting married.  Life is good!

Sincerely,

Miss Hill and Mrs. Pound
